July Walk - Albrighton

We started our walk from the pub car park in Albrighton. Showers had been forecast but we started out in good weather – no rain and a bit of a breeze. We quickly got off the road and walked along footpaths, taking us through a well manicured garden, alongside fields of wheat, barley and oats and with lovely views across the countryside – and wherever we go we always seem to be able to see The Wrekin in the distance.

We had a bit of road walking to do – and were enjoying ourselves so much we missed the stile we should have crossed – but we came across a field of Alpacas with their cute babies – so that made up for our short detour. We retraced our steps a short way and got back on the route – and got a bit wet in a short sharp shower. We soon dried off and continued on the varied route back to pub for refreshments.

This was an enjoyable walk of great variety, again showing what beautiful countryside we have around us.
